TerraGo Toolbar

The free TerraGo Toolbar is a powerful geospatial application that helps you unleash the power of your geospatial assets to the edge of your enterprise by making it easy for everyone, including non-GIS savvy users, to access and interact with complex maps and images.

As an extension to the free Adobe Reader, the free TerraGo Toolbar is used by more than 500,000 people today to view, mark up, and interact with geospatial information in the field.

The TerraGo Toolbar is the standard by which many government organizations, including the US Army, US Marines, and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, disseminate their geospatial assets. It continues to grow in popularity due to its unique ability to help users who have limited or no GIS expertise take advantage of the massive amounts of geospatial data that was historically locked inside GIS departments.

Requirements: Windows desktop or Web browser. 512k RAM or greater, 14.5 MB of hard disk space, Adobe Acrobat or Reader version 8.1.7 or later. TerraGo Toolbar does not operate on Mac OS.

Product Info

Perhaps the most compelling feature of the TerraGo Toolbar is its ease of use. Most everyone is comfortable with the way a PDF file works, so most people can begin using the TerraGo Toolbar with little or no training.

Features include the ability to view maps with multiple coordinate displays, measure length and area, turn layers on and off and search map attributes. Utilizing tools in the TerraGo Publisher Suite, GeoPDF files can be enabled so that users can create notes, redlines and markups or attach images or other data from multiple sources. Redlines and comments can be exported to an ESRI shapefile for incorporation back into a geospatial data repository.
