ERDAS APOLLO offers on-the-fly geoprocessing through a powerful implementation of the OGC Web Processing Service (WPS) specification. The workflow is designed so that end-users are enabled to execute robust and complex geoprocesses with very little domain knowledge. An end user can run an entire model, such as change detection, site analysis or elevation change, completely contained within a single Web Processing Service (WPS). Multiply Your Data Value with Geoprocessing
ERDAS APOLLO Professional provides on-the-fly geoprocessing of gridded geospatial data managed in your APOLLO deployment. Create spatial models with ERDAS IMAGINE 2010 to publish them to the APOLLO WPS. Access security is managed per user role with the APOLLO Data Manager. Once published, the geoprocesses are accessible and executable by consumer users, on demand, from 2D and 3D clients.
Little Domain Knowledge Required by End Users
The ERDAS APOLLO Professional front end workflow has been designed so that your end-users can execute spatial models with very little domain knowledge. The spatial model maker creates human readable titles and default values for input parameters, plus predefines a catalog query that automatically proposes valid data inputs to the end-users. The end-user simply inputs data and remaining values and monitors progress until complete.
Robust, Optimized and Centralized Geoprocessing Computation
With ERDAS APOLLO Professional, users are working from one collective data pool, reducing the potential for redundant data. Spatial models are executed server-side where the input data resides, saving bandwidth, time and disk space. Process outputs are immediately cataloged for discovery by others and can be potentially used again in subsequent geoprocesses.
